About Us
The Connectivity Project film series presents stories of the ripple effects of our actions, large and small, and sheds light on the interconnected nature of life, society and our very survival. This engaging project combines documentary storytelling with beautiful imagery, in-depth curriculum and a curated collection of compelling resources to inspire ways to participate intentionally towards creating a better world for ourselves and for others. These acclaimed and thought-provoking films are composed of interviews with indigenous leaders, farmers, scientists, activists and students, expanding awareness of the impact of our choices and voices.

The Filmmakers
Rose Madrone - Director, Producer and Founder of Connectivity Project
The natural world has been the focus of Rose’s work and teachings for more than 30 years in the fields of botany, herbal medicine and permaculture. She is the founder of Mountain Rose Herbs, creator of Botanical Walkabout in Arcata, California.
Robert Consentino - Co-Director
With more than two decades of experience in film and television, Robert finds the challenges of visual storytelling the most inspiring and rewarding endeavor in the world.
Heidi Zimmerman - Editor
As a documentary feature editor, Heidi is dedicated to inspiring change and creating empathy in the world through film-based storytelling. Her film work includes The 11th Hour, Alive and Kicking, Damned To Extinction and Esperanza’s Turn and various projects for Universal Music Group, Warner Bros and Magnolia Pictures.
Melissa Gregory Rue - Co-Producer
Melissa writes, directs, and produces films and series to promote cross-cultural experiences and greater compassion in the world. Her films have screened at festivals around the U.S. and include such works as Esperanza’s Turn, Live Out Loud and Darcy Miller’s comedic web series, One Bird at a Time.
Lindsey Grayzel - Consultant
Lindsey is a documentary editor and director. Recent works include the award-winning film The Reluctant Radical as well as projects for The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and the Canadian Museum for Human Rights.
